More About Opera Mobile Web Browser

Hello everyone!!

Today I would like to tell more about Opera Mobile Web Browser. Its functions, the pros and cons of the web browser.

The Opera Mobile browser and Internet Explorer share some of the same basic features, such as:
1. ability to switch to a full screen mode,
2. a touch and grab feature for touch users,
3. the ability to fit a page to the screen or view the full page.

The Opera Mobile make you feel comfortable using it because you can use it like normal web browser because they have similar functions.

The Pros of the Opera Mobile:
  • allowing you to view the full version for those sites that would normally send you to a mobile version.
  • Coupled with the ability to zoom in and out, this creates a great way of traversing the web.
  • support for opening multiple windows
  • The browser also has back, forward and refresh buttons displayed on the address bar, making navigation easier.
  • turn off images to provide faster web page loading.
The Cons of the Opera Mobile:
  • no favorites button on the main screen. It may be as simple as clicking action and choosing "go to," but I personally wonder why the developer chose to include back, forward and refresh buttons but not favorites button. A favorites button would have made more sense than the refresh button.
  • automatic word fill while typing in a web address is also one of the disadvantages of Opera. This is where the browser tries to complete the word for you. It will be handy when filling up forms, but it is annoying when trying to type in a web address and it auto-fill for you while the address was not the one you wanted.
In Conclusion, although there are disadvantages of Opera which are quite irritating, the functions and advantages of the browser are good and working well. From most of the sites I have visited about Mobile Web Browsers, I can see that most of the comments are positive. This actually prove that Opera is a usable and user-friendly browser.
