Secondly, check out for the 'lock' icon at somewhere at the bottom of the window in the browser. For instance, if you are using the Internet Explorer, it displays the lock icon in the bottom right of the browser's window. The 'lock' icon is not just a picture! Click on the icon to see details of the site's security. It is important to know because some fraudulent websites are built a bar at bottom of the webpage to intimate the lock icon of your browser. There are four respondents voted for this question. The highest percentage which contain half of the percentage,50% that respondents voted are fast loading speed. They think that this is the reason they choose fast loading speed as their main feature using Mozilla Firefox. Mozilla Firefox view web pages faster and using less of user computer’s memory too. Besides that, Firefox included the TraceMonkey JavaScript engine, which giving the browser performs better than previous. Firefox has always been fast, but this is the fastest Firefox ever. It is more than three times as fast as Firefox 3 and 20% faster than Firefox 3.5. What this means are Web applications like email, photo sites, online word processors and more will feel snappier and more responsive. This is why respondents using Mozilla Firefox but not others web browser.

6th Week Poll Analysis

(Link to us: http://snipurl.com/ukwkx)

(Picture obtained from: http://i829.photobucket.com/albums/zz220/Brow-Zer/6thWeekPollAnalysis.jpg )

Have you ever thought that Google Chrome will be you next web browser? For me, I never have a single thought that it might be my next browser. Is Google dominating the web technology?! According to the chart above, 67% of the readers might use Chrome as their next browser. This is due to that they are not sure because Chrome has its cons more than their pros. However, Chrome is mainly recognized for its speed.

On the other hand, 33% of the readers agree that Chrome will be their next browser. Why is it so? On the previous post, I had written on ''Why Chrome will be your next browser?''. if you had read the post, you will know that Chrome's market share numbers are sky-rocketing and now, in less than 2 years, Google is testing Google Chrome 4.0 while browser like Firefox is still beta testing version 3.6! When Chrome was firstly introduced, it was almost laughably under-powered compared to any browsers but it was lighting fast.

However, none of the readers disagree that Chrome will be their next browser. This means that they are neutral in deciding whether either to use or might use it. In conclusion, there is no right or wrong in choosing to use or not to use Google Chrome in the future while, it all depends on yourself.

That's all from me, for now. Thank you!

Which category of Firefox add-ons is your favorite?
Photobucket
Photo obtained by: http://s829.photobucket.com/albums/zz220/Brow-Zer/?action=view&current=pie.jpg&newest=1

Which category of Firefox add-ons is your favorite? Add-ons? This was the poll question during Chinese New Year (14th February 2010 - 18 February 2010). The results shown that people nowadays less using Firefox Add-ons. There were only three respondents answer the poll. Photo, Music & Videos, Plugins and Privacy & Security consist 33.3 % respectively in this poll question.

People nowadays love entertainment. They choose Photo, Music & Videos as their favorite add-ons because from there, they can know the latest music and videos. Then, they can know the hottest photo from the image sharing site like Photobucket, Flickr, Imageshack and so on. Besides that, they also can download the Keep Tube to download Youtube videos and some radio station to listen to the music.

Another favorite add-on respondents choose is Plugins. Plugins are important to everyone. Plugins help our browser perform specific functions like viewing special graphic formats or playing multimedia files. Plugins are slightly different from extensions, which modify or add to existing functionality. Example for Facebook' Barn Buddy games. Its need Adobe Flash Player to play. So, plugins is really useful to us.

Another add-on is Privacy & Security. Those who using this add-on are privacy aware Internet user and concern about their security online. While we are installing Firefox, the most important steps we can take towards a safe online experience which is install the privacy &security add-on. Firefox had provided a very flexible framework for open-source programmers and commercial vendors to create their own software add-ons for the browser.

Nobody are choosing Personas as their favorite add-ons. This might because they don't really care how is their browser looks like. And sometimes while updating their Firefox, their browser will be blank so they might need to find back their previous personas photo again. It is so annoying.

Other than that, social & communication get 0% in this poll. Nobody choose it. This might because people is can straight go to the social networking site and do not need to install any software to their browser.

3rd Week Poll Analysis

(LInk to us: http://snipurl.com/uanrz/)

'Which web browser do you think is more prone to virus attack?' Does it sound familiar to you? If you had vote for last week poll, of course it does. Thank you for your participation! The options given for the poll was Internet Explorer, Mac Safari, Opera, Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox.
As the above chart shows are the results of last week's poll. The Internet Explorer has clearly shown that it has taken up three quarter of the chart which is 75%. Why is it so? Why does most of the readers thinks that IE is more prone to virus attack rather the other four (4) options given? A great number of IE users assume that their browser is the most secure on the market, but this is only true if they have extensive technical training and the know-how to apply maximum security measures. IE users have been decreasing time to time during these past years. It was mainly because IE has bad anti-virus and they hardly block pop-ups that irritates the users. Moreover, there is much debate on whether IE is more prone to hackers and spyware than other browsers.

The second browser that readers thinks is more prone to virus attack is Opera (13%) as voted by them. I think most readers think that Opera is also prone to virus attack because Opera had been reported prone to a cross-domain dialog box sending up vulnerability. This issue may allow an attacker to carry out phishing style attacks that may use this vulnerability to send up an interface of a trusted website.

The lesser prone browser that readers had voted was Mozilla Firefox (12%). This is mainly because Firefox is well-known for its security. This browser has an anti-malware tool that warns users when they visit websites that are known to install viruses. This tool also helps to protect anti-phishing. In addition, Firefox has a Master Password feature that prevents unauthorized users to use this feature. Comparison also indicates that Firefox has the right kind of protection for the less tech savvy user, for now.

Both Google Chrome and Mac Safari did not have any votes. Mainly this is because users are somehow still new to both of these browsers. Chrome is a browser that is slowly chasing up after Firefox and users will still need time to explore more about it. While, Safari is the same as Chrome and it gives impression to users that it is complicated compared to other browsers.

In conclusion, most readers do agree that Internet Explorer is more prone to virus attack compared to other browsers.

Thank You. Do drop your comment in the shoutout box if there is anything.

This poll question has been surveyed on 23rd January till 29th January. The question asked was "Which web browser loading speed do you prefer?" And we had provided five answers which are Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera, Google Chrome, and Mac Safari.

In the results, we can see that most of the people still prefer Mozilla Firefox loading speed which consist 52%. Most of the respondents still prefer Mozilla Firefox are because it is popular and it's loading speed is faster than the other web browser.

The second highest was Google Chrome which consist 32%. Google Chrome was launched at 2008. Although Firefox is fast , Google Chrome loads faster and keep your surfing super fast. It lose to Firefox in this survey might because still many people do not know about this new web browser and they haven figure it out.

Next is Internet Explorer which consist 16%. We get some respondents' opinion that Internet Explorer is getting slower and slower lately. It made them wants to change their web browser. Nobody voted for Opera and Mac Safari in this poll because these two web browsers less people to use.

In conclusion, Mozilla Firefox is still leading among others web browser nowadays. Thanks a lot for everyone for answer the question.

Discussion on Results of Poll Question

This is the results of the question that was surveyed last week. For those people who has voted, THANKS for your participation!!

The question asked was 'Which type Web Browser do you prefer'?
The options given were Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, Google Chrome, Mac Safari and also Opera.

As the results shown, most of the respondents use Mozilla Firefox. Why is that so? I have asked most of the respondents and what they told me was Mozilla Firefox are safer and the firewall are stronger than the others. Furthermore, Google Chrome is somehow still new to the users that visited our blog. Therefore, there are lesser people are using it. For Internet Explorer, the users who uses this has been decreasing from time to time. It was mainly because Internet Explorer has bad anti-virus and they hardly block the pop-ups that irritates the users. In addition, lesser people would prefer using Mac Safari is because it gives users an impression that it is complicated and new to the users. For Opera, there is no one voted for that. This is mainly because most of the people prefer to use Opera when they are accessing Internet using phone. Moreover, Opera is also used by most of the mobile phone users that will access the internet through hand phone.

In Conclusion, Mozilla Firefox is the most popular Web Browsers available now and 73.3% of the respondents prefer using it.
